What’s a good vacation spot in Texas with a beach?

I live in Phoenix and my boyfriend and I are tired of Vegas/San Diego vacations that we always go on. What’s the best beach to vacation in Texas? I would obviously like the beach to be nice, but also good nightlife and hotels and all the other stuff that vacays are about should be good too. Thanks!
